Our aim is simple: To make your cat feel as though it’s the most loved cat on the planet!

Cats prefur Home philosophy is:


To provide a professional, personal and high quality service to our customers and provide a loving, reassuring and as stress free as possible experience for your cat. Knowing that pet and owner are happy and reassured, results in a memorable experience for all.

Reasons to use our service

  • Genuine cat enthusiast with over 30 years experience of owning and caring for animals, particularly cats 

  • Expertise in dealing with timid and nervous cats

  • Specialize in Cat Sitting only (and other small animals) - so I will not arrive to attend to your cat smelling of dogs which in itself is traumatic to any cat living in a cat only environment.

  • Member of Narps UK (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) 

  • Member of BVNA (British Veterinary Nursing Association) 

  • Fully Insured 

  • Enhanced DBS checked

  • Vehicles do not have any sign writing or show any company logo, we also stagger the times we visit (unless specified by the customer) this way there are no obvious signs that the homeowner is away

What our visit includes:­

  • Lots of personal love and attention for your pet 

  • Food & water bowl washed and contents replenished 

  • Basic grooming (if cat will tolerate) 

  • Daily prescribed medication administered (sorry, no longer administering Insulin injections)

  • Litter tray/s cleared and topped up (owners supply) 

  • Mail brought in 

  • Indoor house plants watered 

  • Wheelie bins put out and taken in 

  • Curtains/blinds opened & closed (2 visits per day customers only) 

  • Key collection & keys returned the day after customer returns (this enables us to take care of your cat should your return home be delayed)

  • We request that you complete our Cat Visiting Agreement Form prior to our visit so that we can capture all of your requirements­

National Holidays

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day charged at twice the daily rate.

Additional Items

Any additional items (cat litter, small animal bedding, food, etc) to be provided by owner or charged at cost of item.

Return Home Service

A basic return home shopping service (Bread, milk, eggs, etc) is offered free of charge. We ask the customer to please leave a shopping list with cash for items to be purchased.

On Saturdays, Sundays, Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Bank Holidays visits are restricted to once a day morning visits only.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

50% deposit required at time of key collection or introductory meeting (non-refundable), remainder upon 1st visit (non-refundable)

Cancellations up to 1 week prior to the start date of a booking will attract a fee of 50% of the price of the booking. Less than 1 week's notice will attract the full price of the booking. 

  • Visits are usually between 30 - 40 mins, however on weekends/school holidays the visit time may vary due to high demand 

  • Peace of mind picture messages of your cat/cats and texts are sent FREE of charge as part of the service
